Dinosaur National Monument

Dinoaur National Monument near Vernal, UT was a great place to wrap up our trip. We enjoyed the camp ground and the museum in Vernal. This place is ground zero for Dino nuts!

Arches National Park

Due to bad storms brewing we had to make our stop in Arches rather short but we did get a few hours of hiking in and saw some amazing formations.

Devil's Garden area of Escalante/Grand Staircase

This was a fun little stop hidden in the middle of nowhere out on hole in the rock road near Escalante, UT

Capital Reef

Capital Reef-we had a good time driving through this area until the massive thunder strom chased us out of the valley.

Bryce Canyon

Hiking Bryce Canyon at Queen's Garden and Navajo loop.

Zion- The Narrows

Hiking the Narrows of Zion was a must on our trip and it proved to be more spectacular, beautiful, amazing, and physically demanding then we could have dreamed. Hiking 10 miles on slime covered rocks the size of bowling balls through swift flowing water is not an asy hike. This was such an amazing hike and so unique I would certainly make a return trip simply to hike it again. It simply has to be done to fully understand it!

More Angle's Landing

The first section of chainwork up to Scout Lookout was not oo bad but the Ridge back from Decision Point to the top of the landing was too much to get the brain to overcome.

Zion- Angel's Landing Hike

We have never before tackled a trail that has put so much fear into us.....This hike is NOT for people with phobias of heights as we found out. Physically we did far better than we expected but once we reached decision point just 1/2 mile from the top of Angel's Landing our issues with looking down 1200 foot of vertical rock on each side of a trail only a few feet wide became too much and we halted our ascent. This is the first time we have not finished a hike. But it was a hike we will not forget.
